Bentima House
Bentima House saw the repositioning and extension of an existing office building near Old Street roundabout to Cat A, including two new additional floors of commercial space. GPAD worked with the client on a number of projects for the building, from refurbishments of single floors to adding two additional stories to the building. Each project was approached tactically around the in-situ tenants and is a good example of how asset management can add value to a building whilst repositioning it and ensuring it is up to modern standards. Strategic thinking was required to promote refurbishment over demolition and re-build, with the project ultimately becoming known for positive asset management and value.
Originally concentrating on completely refreshing the common areas and three floors, planning permission was subsequently gained for the two additional stories. The design focused on function, contemporary clean lines, and natural materials used in understated way. This completely transformed the reception space into a welcoming and inviting environment. The top two floors feature a clean glass facade, which maximises light into the floorplates, provides expansive views of the city and ties it to the overall industrial feel. The finished project creates high-quality workspace for tech clients within the Old Street roundabout area, and demonstrates the success of forging long-term working relationships with our clients.
